History
The PhAME Awards were founded in 1999 and originally called The Recognizing Excellence Awards.
Mission Statement
The PhAME Awards are the first and most comprehensive awards ceremony focusing on pharmaceutical consumer marketing and communications"creating a better informed and healthier world"SM. The PhAME Awards were founded to recognize creative excellence, results that contribute to public health, and innovation in strategies, media and integrated campaigns.
The broad range of award categories encompassed by the ceremony is intended specifically to spotlight the best examples of pharmaceutical marketing by manufacturers and their agencies that benefit public health.
We believe that the litmus test for great marketing communication takes into consideration both creative output and the business results that it generates. For this reason, winners of these awards are judged superior based not only on their creative merit but also on their results that contribute to public health. Only through the marriage of well-defined strategies and targets with insight and creativity can consumer marketing fulfill its promise of "creating a better informed and healthier world"SM.
Corporate Governance
The PhAME Awards are the exclusive property of PhAME Awards, Inc., a New Jersey corporation whose goals are to further the understanding and use of pharmaceutical consumer marketing communications. An Executive Committee consisting of 13 healthcare industry professionals advises on all aspects of the corporation's governance, including finance and administration, event rules, marketing and PR, as well as the production of the awards ceremony.
